‘The Amazing Race’ Season 29 Spoilers: Will Brooke And Scott, Shamir And Sara Or Vanck And Ashton Be Eliminated In Tanzania?
Teams are still getting to know one another on “The Amazing Race,” and the tensions that some of them have within their partnerships could explode on the Thursday April 20 episode.
Season 29 of the CBS show sees teams made up of complete strangers trying to work together to win the $1 million prize. But as the race takes them to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the issues that have often plagued Brooke and Scott (#TeamBrookeand Scott), Vanck and Ashton (#TeamVanckandAshton) and Sara and Shamir (#SandSExpress) continue to surface.
Vanck and Ashton have been one of the oddest match-ups from the beginning, but have shown surprising strength and finished near the front of the pack the last two legs. They still have an ongoing feud with Redmond and Matt (#TheBoys), especially after they survived being U-Turned. However, that feud may pale in comparison to one that may pop up between Vanck and Ashton when they run into a problem during their Detour.
“We are not changing,” she says in a preview clip for the episode.
“So we’re switching,” Vanck says.
“No! We are not switching!” Ashton yells.

Meanwhile, the Detour task may also prove to be problematic for Brooke and Shamir, who each decide to do it for their respective teams. Involving heavy metal and tools, the task could be an issue for a previously injured Brooke, who begins to freak out as she has trouble with it.
“I can’t do it,” she says as she cries in the clip.
However, Shamir could be the one most at risk of elimination, as he has had trouble with injuries in each leg thus far. His last Detour led to him freaking out over how a harness pinched at his testicles while he rappelled down a building, and he and Sara narrowly avoided elimination as a result. Their luck didn’t improve during the third leg either, as they only avoided elimination because Seth and Olive had been U-turned. Now, Sara will express concern that Shamir completing the next Detour will mean he gets hurt again—and it could cost them everything.
“I just really hope that he doesn’t cut himself,” she says in the clip.
“The Amazing Race” airs a double-episode on Thursday, April 20 at 9 and 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
