New rumors have surfaced claiming that Amber Heard will be cut from "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" after Johnny Depp won his defamation case against her this week.

Greg Ellis, an Annie Award-nominated voice artist and Emmy Award-nominated actor who has been a vocal supporter of Depp, tweeted Saturday: "All Amber Heard scenes will be completely deleted from 'Aquaman 2.'" He did not cite any source.

He clarified in a follow-up post that there is "no official word" yet from Warner Bros. but "no denial either," before promising more information "soon."

KC Walsh, whom The Direct describes as a "reliable" industry insider, also posted on Twitter a screenshot of messages exchanged with an unnamed movie source claiming that "there was a meeting, and all of Amber's scenes will be deleted from 'Aquaman 2.'" The source's name and connection with the film or Warner Bros. were not provided.

International Business Times could not independently verify the claims. Warner Bros. has not confirmed the development.

These claims came as posts by a person named Juliette Lauren Fischer, who claimed to be an executive at Warner Bros. Discovery, went viral on social media.

Fischer claimed in one Instagram Story — which YouTube personality Joseph Morris cites in a video that has received more than 1 million views — that she was in a meeting with the studio where they apparently discussed the deletion of Heard's scenes from "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom."

In a second Instagram Story, she claimed, "All Amber Heard scenes in 'Aquaman 2' will be completely DELETED!"

Fischer claims to be an executive producer for Warner Bros. Discovery and "Elvis" director Baz Luhrmann's production firm in her Instagram bio but does not have a LinkedIn profile linked that could confirm her claims, Sportskeeda noted.

While testifying in her and Depp's defamation trial last month, Heard told the court that she was almost cut from "Aquaman 2," in which she reprises her role as Aquaman's love interest Mera, because Warner Bros. "didn't want to include me in the film."

Heard claimed she was "actively scheduling timing for filming" before Depp's alleged "smear campaign" against her. Asked if she was actively involved after Depp's team called her a liar in the press, she answered, "No. The communications stopped at that point."

Heard said that while she managed to keep her role as Mera, she ultimately performed "a very pared-down version of that role."

On Wednesday, a Virginia jury decided that Heard would have to pay Depp $10.35 million in damages after finding that the actress defamed her ex-husband in her 2018 Washington Post op-ed about surviving domestic abuse.

Heard was also awarded $2 million in damages as she partially won her countersuit over comments made by Depp's former lawyer, who called her abuse allegations a hoax.

During the trial, a Change.org petition calling for the removal of Heard from "Aquaman 2" passed 4.5 million signatures.

"Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," which is directed by James Wan and stars Jason Momoa as the titular superhero, will be released on March 17, 2023.
