Amber Heard Claims Johnny Depp Had Erectile Dysfunction, Court Docs Reveal

Amber Heard's legal team claimed that Johnny Depp suffers from erectile dysfunction, according to newly unsealed court documents filed in the former couple's defamation case.

The 36-year-old “Aquaman” actress’ lawyers argued in a March 28 filing, obtained by Fox News Digital, that the purported impotence may have contributed to Depp's allegedly violent behavior and alleged use of a liquor bottle to rape Heard during a fight. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star has consistently denied Heard’s allegations of rape and violence.

“Though Mr. Depp would rather not disclose his erectile dysfunction condition, such condition absolutely is relevant to sexual violence, including Mr. Depp’s anger and use of a bottle to rape Amber Heard,” Heard’s lead attorney Elaine Bredehoft claimed in the filing, according to the outlet.

The lawyer went on to allege, “Mr. Depp’s erectile dysfunction makes it more probable that Mr. Depp would be angry or agitated in encounters with Amber Heard, and that he would resort to a bottle.”

Bredehoft also wrote in the motion that Depp allegedly took Cialis pills, which are used to treat male sexual function problems.

However, Depp’s lawyer called the attempt to submit into record parts of the actor’s medical history at trial “nothing more than pure harassment,” according to the unsealed documents.

During their two-month-long defamation trial in Fairfax County, Virginia, Heard testified that the 59-year-old actor allegedly penetrated her with a Maker’s Mark bottle in a drug-fueled rage in 2015, when he was filming “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” in Australia.

“I thought he was punching me. I felt this pressure. I felt this pressure on my pubic bone,” she alleged while hysterically crying during the trial. “I didn’t know if the bottle he had inside me was broken.”

The unsealed documents also included a deposition Heard gave in which she claimed that Depp sexually assaulted her whenever the actor got angry over his alleged impotence.

“He would not be able to get an erection and become angry with me. I call it ‘angry sex’ that Johnny could not fully perform. He would throw me on the bed, he did this several times, and he’d force himself on me in an angry way,” she alleged.

Depp has maintained that he has never physically and sexually assaulted Heard or any other woman. He accused Heard of being the abuser in the relationship.

Judge Penney Azcarate, lead judge of the case, dismissed the evidence regarding Depp’s alleged condition, though the jury did see a medical record in court that listed Cialis as one of the actor's medications.

On June 1, the defamation trial between Depp and Heard ended with the jury finding that the “London Fields” actress defamed Depp in her 2018 op-ed in the Washington Post about being a victim of domestic abuse.

Depp was awarded a total of $10.35 million in compensatory and punitive damages. Heard was awarded $2 million for winning one of her countersuit claims against her ex-husband over comments made by his lawyer Adam Waldman.

However, the case seems to be far from over as both sides have filed a notice of appeal against the verdict.

Reps for Heard and Depp have not commented on the unsealed court documents.
