  • Amber Heard's former makeup artist doesn't want to give a live testimony
  • The "Aquaman" star's stylist and makeup artist have different testimonies on the day she appeared on "The Late Late Show With James Corden"
  • Depp accused Heard of painting bruises to get a temporary restraining order against him

Amber Heard's witness against Johnny Depp has asked the court to quash the order compelling her to give a live remote testimony.

Heard and Depp separated in 2016, but the exes are still embroiled in a legal battle. The “Aquaman” star alleged that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was violent and abusive.

Heard’s witness, her former makeup artist, Mélanie Inglessis, was compelled by News Group to come forward and support their case against Depp. “The Tourist” actor filed a lawsuit against News Group after The Sun published a report calling him a “wife-beater,” per The Hollywood Reporter.

“Amber repeatedly told me that she did not want to expose this part of her life to the public, and that she was considering canceling the appearance altogether,” Inglessis said.

She also recalled how Heard told her numerous times that she had been abused. However, on May 16, she filed a motion in California federal court asking Magistrate Judge Patrick J. Walsh to void his order asking her to give live testimony via a video feed.

According to Inglessis, she has received “death threats and faced online harassment” even if she has not made a public statement about the issue yet.

“This case, and the related U.S. case, are high-profile matters involving international celebrities and are receiving intense media scrutiny,” Inglessis’ attorney Anya Goldstein wrote.

“Ms. Inglessis genuinely fears for her safety as it is. If she is forced to testify for NGN, and, by extension, for its controversial tabloid, The Sun, the threats and harassment she faces will undoubtedly escalate.”

Inglessis also fears that her career as a makeup artist will suffer if she is forced to testify publicly on what she saw at Heard’s home while working because her clients expect privacy.

Inglessis said she saw Heard’s bruised face and cut lip and she helped her hide her injuries for an appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” on Dec. 16, 2015. She added that Heard repeatedly told her that she didn’t want to expose that part of her life to the public and even considered canceling her guest appearance at the time.

However, Heard’s stylist Samantha McMillen, who also worked with the actress on the same day, did not notice any bruises on her face.

“Throughout the day of December 16, 2015, I could see clearly that Amber Heard did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body,” she said.

Depp also accused Heard of painting bruises to obtain a temporary restraining order (TRO) from him. Heard claimed that she had a brutal fight with Depp on May 24, 2016 and appeared on the court with bruises three days later.

Depp denied that he laid a hand on Heard. McMillen, who was with Heard on the same day, also didn’t see any marks on her face.

She recalled Heard sobbing and hugging her at the bottom of the staircase in Depp’s house. She was sure that there were no prominent injuries visible on her face.
