American Airlines Passenger's Degrading Note To Flight Attendant Goes Viral; Woman Suspended From Flying

An American Airlines passenger handed over a degrading note to a flight attendant after being asked to follow the airlines’ mask policy.

On Thursday, a Twitter user posted a photo of the note in which the passenger called the flight attendant a "mask Nazi."

"Today a passenger handed this to a flight attendant upon deplaning. the flight attendant had asked her to wear her mask over her nose. incredibly done with the general public," the Twitter user captioned the photo.

The derogatory note began with the passenger calling the flight attendant a "glorified maid."

"You mean s--t in life. You are nothing but a glorified maid who needs to jump down off her high horse and learn how to speak to ppl (sic). Nobody cares about your stupid seat policies or your nose issues. We pay your salary and your attitude is unnecessary," the note stated.

"The very fact that we have to listen and kowtow to a nobody who does s--t except collect our trash and serve crappy food makes me absolutely ill. You are a mask nazi and a 4-eyed c--t and if it wasn't for this job, you would be cleaning motel rooms for $2 tips and meth. I made sure to write this on a bag labelled as to what I think your life actually is … A WASTE," the passenger wrote.

The note was signed by a person "who hates your guts."

Its photo soon went viral on social media with people lashing out at the passenger for writing such a degrading note.

"I hope that flight attendant can let this go completely - appalling truly. If I ever saw this note on my flight, that person would be instantly removed and banned forever," one person wrote.

"When did it become socially acceptable to shit on somebody else? Like...how did this person leave the airport with their nose in tact?" another user commented.

"Flight attendants run the plane & keep it FAA compliant. They serve as a police man, doctor, waiter, fireman, regulation specialist, and more. It is a job for which you are highly trained - and it’s actually a coveted job that’s hard to get. This person is clueless and vile," wrote another user.

Meanwhile, reports stated the woman has since been suspended from flying with the airlines.

In a statement to Fox News, the airlines said, "American Airlines is investigating an incident involving a customer passing an offensive and derogatory note to one of our flight attendants, and this customer’s ability to travel on American has been suspended. Our flight attendants are professionals who play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our passengers, and we will not tolerate mistreatment of them."
