'American Crime Story' Set Photos Reveal Young Actors Playing The Kardashian Children
Ryan Murphy's upcoming drama, "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson," is shaping up to be the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" prequel fans never knew they wanted. A recent snapshot from the set of the upcoming true-crime show reveals the young actresses that will portray the reality stars as children and teenagers.
According to TMZ, the images seem to show the actors playing the young versions of Kim, Khloé, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian. The group of kids are walking in the scene with "Friends" star David Schwimmer, who will portray their late father, Robert Kardashian. For those unfamiliar with the ages of the Kardashian clan, Daily Mail reports that Khloe appears to be in yellow, Kim pink and youngest Kourtney in blue.
Murphy's latest TV project will focus on the infamous 1994 murder trial of O.J. Simpson. Based on Jeffrey Toobin's book "The Run of His Life: The People V. O.J. Simpson," the show will dive deep into the trial that captivated America from the perspective of the lawyers involved with the case. Among those lawyers working for the defense was Rob Kardashian, who passed away in 2003.
At the time of the trial, Kardashian was already divorced from his wife and mother to his four children, Kris Jenner. However, Jenner wasn't as far removed from the case as one might think. She was friends with O.J. Simpson's alleged victim, Nicole Brown Simpson. As a result, "Hellboy" actress Selma Blair has been cast to play Jenner in the upcoming miniseries on FX. Recently, Schwimmer revealed that he sat down with the real-life Kris Jenner to help him research the role.
"I was lucky enough to speak to [Jenner] for a few hours who was very generous with her time," he told the Associated Press in May (via Us Weekly)"I thought, `Who better to tell me who Robert was as a husband and a father than her?' And it's been a very exciting process so far."
Joining Schwimmer on the cast of "American Crime Story" are big names such as Cuba Gooding Jr. (O.J. Simpson), John Travolta (Robert Shapiro), Connie Britton (Faye Resnick), Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark) and more. The series premieres in 2016.
