‘American Horror Story: Double Feature’ Spoilers: Everything We Know So Far
The premiere of “American Horror Story: Double Feature” is almost here but there has been a limited amount of spoilers released for Season 10 of the FX anthology series airs.
Prolific showrunner Ryan Murphy has promised a twisted new storyline that deviates from the show’s usual structure which has fans begging for more details about what’s to come.
We gathered some information about the cast, plot, premiere date, and more. Check out everything we know so far about “American Horror Story” Season 10.
Cast
When the new season premieres, fans will be reunited will several familiar faces as well as some new ones. Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, Kathy Bates, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Angelica Ross, Leslie Grossman, Macaulay Culkin, and Kaia Gerber are among the stars that are expected to appear in Season 10 of the FX series. Evan Peters, who did not appear in the show last season, will be making his return in “AHS: Double Feature.” However, Emma Roberts has been noticeably absent from cast announcements after appearing in five seasons of the anthology series. In December, the actress and her boyfriend Garrett Hedlund welcomed their first child, a son Rhodes Robert Hedlund.
Plot
While Murphy typically keeps the plots for each season under wraps, he has revealed “American Horror Story: Double Feature” will tell two separate stories, “Part I: Red Tide” and “Part 2: Death Valley.”
“Part I: Red Tide” will take place by the sea and “Part 2: Death Valley” will be set by the sand.
The “AHS” Season 10 will feature a split to divide the two stories. Part 1 will take place in the first six episodes while Part 2 will be shown in the remaining four episodes.
The season finale will take place on Oct. 27 in time for Halloween.
Theme
A trailer released for the upcoming season appears to point to a mermaid theme for part 1 of the series and an alien theme for part 2. Previous seasons did not explore sea creatures but “AHS: Asylum” did feature an alien threat. However, it is unclear if the upcoming season will reflect Murphy’s previous vision of extraterrestrial beings.
“American Horror Story: Double Feature” will premiere Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
