American Horror Story
Will Misty Day be killed off "American Horror Story: Coven"? FX

Merry Christmas, “American Horror Story” fans – new photos from filming have leaked online and tease a deadly ending for a “Coven” character.

Season 3 of “American Horror Story” is quickly coming to an end with only four episodes remaining. But that doesn’t mean the drama is dying down. In fact, things appear to be heating up. JustJaredJr.com acquired some behind-the-scenes photos taken earlier this month and it appears as if the witches will be bidding (a seemingly permanent) adieu to a fellow character.

According to Just Jared Jr., the scene in question was filmed in a cemetery in New Orleans, La. The photos clearly show Kyle (Evan Peters) and Madison (Emma Roberts), but the site reveals that Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett), Fiona (Jessica Lange) and Myrtle (Frances Conroy) were also on set.

It’s unclear what episode the actors were filming for “American Horror Story,” but the release of the photos come at a pretty convenient time. A mass murder in episode 9 ended the lives of Queenie, Marie Laveau’s whole tribe, and Cordelia’s husband, Hank. And although “Coven” has killed off multiple of their characters throughout the season, a majority has been back to life thanks to swamp witch, Misty Day.

“American Horror Story” has yet to take viewers to a cemetery, which leads us to believe that this death could be permanent. Take a look at some of our theories of who they could be mourning below:

Luke

Luke was murdered by his mother when he awakened from a coma and revealed that he knew she killed his father. Thanks to a synopsis for episode 10, we know that Nan will be confronting Joan about Luke’s death – which could be why she was absent from filming the cemetery scene.

Hank

Cordelia may have been on bad terms with her husband at the time of his death, but ultimately he did end up sacrificing himself for her and the Coven. It’s possible that the witches could be at the cemetery burying him, but we doubt it since Marie Laveau was in attendance.

Queenie

Queenie sacrificed herself in order to kill Hank and protect Marie Laveau. Fans doubted that the human voodoo doll really died due to her magic, but one theory is that she did die due to the gunshot to her head. (Like how zombies can only die if the brain is destroyed.) It would make sense for the Coven and Marie Laveau to gather and put their differences aside in order to honor Queenie.

Cordelia

With Hank dead, the corporation of witch hunters (specifically Hanks’s father) are bound to be seeking revenge. Since Marie Laveau, Fiona and Myrtle were in attendance – but not Cordelia – one would assume that something terrible happened to her, and that Misty Day was unable to revive her.

Nan

Since Nan was not in attendance filming, another theory is that Joan took care of the young witch. Despite Nan’s “growing powers,” it’s possible that Joan decided to kill her when approached about Luke’s death.

Misty Day

Misty Day was burned at the stake at the beginning of the season, yet thanks to her magic managed to come back to life. The swamp witch has raised multiple dead characters from the grave, which is why the cemetery scene is so suspicious. Her powers have everyone in Miss Robichaux’s Academy believing her to be the next Supreme, so it seems pretty obvious that Misty also has a target on her back and can become the next victim.

“American Horror Story: Coven” returns to FX with episode 10, “The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks,” on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. EST. Who do you think will die by the end of the season? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section or send a tweet to @AmandaTVscoop.
