'American Horror Story' Season 4 Spoilers: Check Out 7 Photos From ‘Freak Show’ Episode 12, 'Show Stoppers'
Things are winding down for Season 4 of “American Horror Story,” which means fans of the fab FX miniseries can only expect the fiercest, most gruesome storylines for the remainder of “Freak Show.” Curious about what's in store in episode 12, “Show Stoppers”? Well, we’ve got you covered!
According to the synopsis of the upcoming installment, set to air Wednesday, Jan. 14, Dandy (Finn Wittrock) will make it his mission to shine a light on Chester’s (Neil Patrick Harris) dark past in order to win the Tattler (Sarah Paulson) twins back. But it looks like Bette and Dot won’t pay any mind to the “troubling information” Dandy leaks about the darling magician.
“Your Chester is an absolutely, beastly sicko,” Dandy ironically says in reference to Chester brutally murdering his wife and her mistress then blaming the crime on his doll, Marjorie.
The summary for episode 12 then concludes with an interesting teaser, stating that the freaks will “enforce their harsh code of justice” in “Show Stoppers.” But who will be on the receiving end of the punishment? One theory points to Chester who is seen sawing someone in two during the promo video for “Show Stoppers.” But who is it?
In the trailer, it looks as though the person getting cut in half is Maggie (Emma Roberts), who is seen screaming for her life. (This would be Maggie’s second time nearly meeting her demise from a magic trick gone wrong.) But all Chester can do is continue cutting as Maggie’s face flashes from her own to an image of a woman of his past. Will Maggie end up dead in episode 12? Could that be why a punishment is sought by Elsa’s (Jessica Lange) troupe of misfits?
Another reason why the freaks could be seeking justice is for the amputation of Jimmy’s (Evan Peters) claws. Both of the lobster boy’s hands were removed by Stanley (Denis O’Hare) – after he promised to only take one – so that the money-loving fraud could make an extra buck by selling them to the American Morbidity Museum.
Jimmy thought the profit from his extraordinary digits would be used to get him out of jail, which is why we’ve theorized Stanley might be meeting his fate tonight on “AHS.” It’s also important to note that Massimo Dolcefino (Danny Huston) will be making his reprisal on "Freak Show" to give Jimmy a new set of pinchers. (Massimo is the one responsible for carving up new legs for the Fraulein after her limbs were gruesomely amputated.)
Based on episode 12's promo images, it seems “Show Stoppers” is set to have a incredibly ominous tone -- just look at all the grim expressions in the photos. Check these seven images from tonight’s installment of the FX series to see if you can spot any clues from “Freak Show.”
"American Horror Story" will air Season 4, episode 12 on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 10 p.m. EST.
