‘American Horror Story’ Season 5 Premiere Date Announced; Disturbing New Promo Poster Released
The check-in date for “American Horror Story: Hotel” is confirmed! Fans of the FX drama can pick up the keys to their room on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
The network made the exciting announcement at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Viewers can look forward to the 13-episode fifth season kicking off at its usual time slot at 10 p.m. EDT. And that’s not the only exciting news about “Hotel.” A brand new promo poster for the upcoming installment was also released.
Those following “American Horror Story” on Facebook and Twitter were treated to the disturbing image. “Ready to check-in?” the caption teases. “#AHSHotel premieres Oct. 7 on FX.”
The poster features an art deco peephole on a wooden door. The peephole reveals something beyond the door, but it’s not exactly clear because the image is so tiny. However, savvy fans that zoomed in discovered that it appears as if a body – or parts of a body are being removed or put into the bed. The person handling the body parts has wild blonde hair.
What could possibly be happening in that hotel room? It could certainly have something to do with actress Lily Rabe’s chilling Season 5 character. The “AHS” alum took a break from Season 4, but is returning for the upcoming installment. She’ll reportedly play a “famous” serial killer that stays at the hotel.
Of course, Rabe’s character won’t be the only one terrorizing the place. While no other “killers” have been confirmed, co-creator Ryan Murphy has teased that Lady Gaga and Sarah Paulson will be portraying “evil” characters this year.
The cast of “American Horror Story: Hotel” includes returning cast members Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Denis O’Hare , Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts, Chlöe Sevigny and Finn Wittrock . New faces to the FX anthology series are Madchen Amick, Naomi Cambell, Lady Gaga, Max Greenfield, Cheyenne Jackson, Richard T. Jones and Helena Mattsson.
