American Idol 2011 Auditions

FOX singing competition American Idol announced updated Season 11 audition dates and locations Friday, according to the American Idol Web site. The search for the next Idol will begin June 28^th in St. Louis's Scottrade Center.

Auditions continue July 2^nd in Portland, OR, at the Rose Garden; July 8^th in San Diego, CA, at Petco Park; July 15^th in Pittsburgh, PA, at Heinz Field; July 22^nd in Charleston, SC, at the North Charleston Coliseum; July 29^th in Denver, CO, at the INVESCO Field at Mile High and Aug. 26^th in Houston, TX, at Reliant Park, Playbill.com reports.

The Hollywood Reporter states that FOX requires contestants be between ages 15-28 and eligible to work in the U.S.
