“American Idol” alum Haley Reinhart has been arrested for battery.
On Saturday morning, the singer was arrested at suburban Chicago pub Lamplighter Inn. The police officer arrived at the scene around 2 a.m. after the bouncers tossed Reinhart and her friends out of the bar for knocking over the table, TMZ reported.

The police report revealed that as Reinhart and company were being shown out the door, the singer, who only stands 5 feet and 2 inches, landed a punch on the bouncer. Following the incident, Reinhart was taken into custody and was booked for battery.
Reinhart was one of the top 4 finalists of “American Idol” Season 10. Her talent in singing helped her bag third place in the FOX reality singing competition. These days, however, she is trying her hand in acting. Currently, she stars in the Netflix show “F for Family.”
Reinhart is not putting her music in the backburner though, as she is also working on a third studio album at the moment. She just released her new single, “Baby It’s You,” last month, Daily Mail reported. Reinhart’s recording is a rock cover of The Shirelles’ classic. It gave fans a hint of what to expect in her new album, “What’s the Sound,” when it is released in September.
“I’ve always been heavily influenced by ‘60s music and the entire era. I grew up listening to my folks and their band performs most of these tunes including the first single, ‘Baby It’s You.’ I’ve drawn inspiration from them, as well as the Shirelles, the Beatles, and a group called Smith,” Reinhart told Billboard of her new single.
Reinhart shared that her mom sang harmonies while her dad played the guitar in the song “Baby It’s You.” Meanwhile, her supportive friends joined forces to make the music video. They did the entire process on their own. In fact, she brought her own wardrobe and the materials used in the video. She added that it was natural for her to do her part for the performance.
“These songs have played a huge role throughout my childhood and career,” Reinhart further explained. “They’ve left their imprint and moved me deeply -- both then and now. There is so much relevance when we look at today’s life events and back to the turbulent times of the late ‘60s. I believe there is a heightened awareness coming back around and it's important we unite as people and bring the love back home!”
