‘American Idol’ Winner Nick Fradiani Splits From Singer Girlfriend Ariana Gavrilis

Watch out, “American Idol” fans -- Season 14 winner Nick Fradiani is a single man! The 29-year-old resident of Guilford, Connecticut, won it all Wednesday after going up against Clark Beckham in the 2015 finale. Although he entered the Fox competition with the help of girlfriend Ariana Gavrilis, Fradiani revealed he’s no longer with his belle.

During an interview with Dish Nation, Fradiani confirmed he and Gavrilis split. “We are no longer together, we are still friends,” he explained, saying the reality-television show had nothing to do with the end of their relationship.

“American Idol” fans will actually remember his ex-girlfriend because she auditioned for Season 14, too. However, Gavrilis, who also goes by the name “Yanni G,” didn’t receive the golden ticket to go to Hollywood. Instead of letting the elimination get her down, though, she threw her support behind Fradiani. His New York audition video even shows Gavrilis off to the side while he performs Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes.”

“He wins, I win,” she said at the time.

According to Fradiani, the breakup is nothing new and actually occurred a couple months ago. “That was back in October,” he told Dish of his audition for the show. “It was aired in January. That happened at the beginning of October.”

Despite the breakup, Gavrilis seems to remain supportive of her former beau. After he won “American Idol,” she posted an old video on Instagram of the pair singing on the beach. “Proud of ya poop,” she captioned the video. “@NickFradiani #AmericanIdol #NickFradiani #Idol #CrazyHearts.”

While Gavrilis may be without her singing beau, she’s still following her dreams of a singing career. She recently raised more than $3,000 to record her first original album.
