‘Among Us Mods’ Launcher Comes With Mods, Custom Game Modes And More

“Among Us” players who are looking for more than just the usual fare will likely try out custom game modes and mods that bring a new dimension to the game. Those who find it hard to add more mods to the base game, however, now have a new tool that can help them with that – a new launcher-like feature called “Among Us Mods.”

The new “Among Us Mods” is similar to a launcher in that it lets “Among Us” players gain access to tons of popular game modes, mods, roleplay options and more via an independent public server, ScreenRant noted. This makes it easier for players to try out new ways to play InnerSloth’s popular game.

Trying out new ways to play the game used to be tedious and sometimes troublesome. Custom game modes, for example, do not require players to install mods into the game. All players, however, have to strictly adhere to a set of game rules that will effectively change the way the game works. If someone breaks the rules, the game won’t be as fun.

Mods, on the other hand, let players enjoy a different kind of gameplay from the original version of “Among Us.” Some mods introduce familiar mechanics like those from “The Floor is Lava.”

One particular mod adds a new kind of character that can kill the Impostor. Another mod makes a certain player aim to get ejected from the map in order to win.

These mods automatically impose the rules on any “Among Us” round. Meaning, unlike custom game modes, it will be very difficult, even impossible, for players to break the rules in order to win. These mods effectively turn the game into another one without losing its charm but adding more excitement.

That said, players will sometimes find it difficult to look for a mod they want to install into the game. The trouble might be worth it, but wouldn’t it be better if there was no trouble at all?

“Among Us Mods” comes as the solution to the problem of having to force players to stick to certain game rules (a la custom game modes) or having to spend a lot of time looking for a mod to install. It brings all of the popular custom game modes, mods and roleplay features in one easy-to-access launcher that can be obtained from Skeld.net or Launchpad.

At the moment, however, the “Among Us Mods” feature is only available for the PC.
