Amy Duggar Slams Pregnancy Rumors, Discusses Steamy Photo Shoot With Fiancé
Another Duggar baby is on the way, but it’s not Amy Duggar’s child. The former “19 Kids and Counting” star is shutting down rumors that, like her cousin Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, she is expecting her first child.
“I’m definitely not pregnant,” Amy confirmed to People on Monday in response to rumors she’s expecting with fiancé Dillon King. “I’m not that much of a rebel!”
And while Amy may not be a rebellious bride-to-be, she admits she hasn’t been following similar dating rules as her cousins ahead of her fall wedding day. Unlike her fellow “19 Kids” stars, she has done more than just hold hands with Dillon. In a recently released engagement photo shoot, the 28-year-old aspiring musician can be seen sharing a smooch with her soon-to-be husband.
“It was kind of, not scandalous, but a little less what you’d expect from a Duggar,” Amy said of the shoot, which included steamy photos of the couple laying in the mud.
And with a non-traditional engagement shoot will also come a non-traditional wedding. While Amy has passed on her original idea to get married at a courthouse, fans shouldn’t expect her marriage ceremony to follow suit of other recent Duggar nuptials. Amy shares that her wedding will not take place in a church.
“It is not your traditional wedding by any means,” she said, adding, “All the family will be there.”
After several months of dating, Amy and Dillon announced their engagement in July. The couple will reportedly wed in Bentonville, Arkansas, on Sept. 6. Their recently released wedding registry reveals they’re seeking traditional gifts on their big day, including kitchen appliances and bed linens.
Unfortunately for Duggar fans, their wedding will not be televised. Ahead of TLC’s decision to cancel the family’s docuseries, producers were reportedly working with the couple to film their big day. Dillon and Amy were informed their special episode would not come to be last month.
"TLC [called] us yesterday stating they have decided that they will NOT be filming our wedding and they are ‘glad they got to work with us,’” Dillon reportedly posted to Instagram and then shortly after deleted. “Amy and myself apologize that we will not be able to share our special day with all on the TLC network."
