Amy Schumer Reveals Jennifer Lawrence ‘Doesn’t Play By The Rules’
Amy Schumer revealed her experience while working with Jennifer Lawrence for the screenplay that the two stars are writing together.
Over the past few months, the two actresses have been busy working at finishing a screenplay where Schumer and Lawrence are set to play as sisters. When E!News caught up with Schumer during the Hollywood Film Awards held Sunday, the “Trainwreck” star can only gush about the actress and described her as “great writer.” Schumer, who was awarded a Hollywood Comedy Award Sunday, also told E! that Lawrence “doesn’t play by the rules” when she’s writing a scene.
“She can be out there in a really cool way where you thought that you understood a scene and then she'll just kind of turn it,” Schumer said. “She's great."
In August this year, Lawrence first told the New York Times that she and Schumer were writing a comedic screenplay, a project that they also plan to star in. At that time, the “Hunger Games” actress revealed that they had “about 100 pages” done already and that the writing just “flowed out” from both of them.
“Amy and I were creatively made for each other,” Lawrence said. “We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up.”
Meanwhile, the two have become friends over their screenplay project. Lawrence even gifted Schumer with a balloon surprise to celebrate Schumer’s Emmy win in September. Lawrence filled the actress' room with colorful balloons when the comedienne landed her first Emmy award for her show “Inside Amy Schumer” which was named Best Variety Sketch Series.
Schumer even shared a colorful snap of her room on Instagram. She captioned the post, "Never tell Jennifer L your room number.” Schumer also posed with her Emmy award in the picture amidst the colorful balloons.
