Amy Schumer's New Boyfriend Ben Hanisch: New Couple Reportedly Met On A Dating App
Many fans cheered when the identity of Amy Schumer’s new boyfriend Ben Hanisch was unveiled. There’s very little known about Schumer’s non-showbiz beau, so let’s take a quick look on how they met, as well as a few details about Hanisch.
Multiple sources told E!News that Schumer met her hot new boyfriend through a mobile phone dating app. The app is called “Bumble” and the mobile matchmaker only allows women to make the first move through a chat message with potential matches. The app also removes a possible connection from the user’s potential matches in case she does not start a chat message with the other person.
Schumer’s move definitely paid off since she’s now in a new relationship with Hanisch, who reportedly set up a Bumble account in early 2015, E!News reported. Meanwhile, initial reports about “Trainwreck” actress’ new beau indicated the he’s a Chicago based furniture designer. A source told E!News that his designs are “really cool, unique stuff” and that his furniture pieces “are very high quality.” He also founded the company “The Last Workshop” where his designs are said to be displayed.
The source also described Hanisch as a “super nice, chill guy” and added that the furniture designer is “kind of a hipster.” Another insider told E!News that Schumer’s new boyfriend is “very down to earth” and has “no airs about him.”
Meanwhile, the “Inside Amy Schumer” star took to Instagram Wednesday to share another sweet photo of herself with her new beau. According to People magazine, the comedienne’s post not only featured a cuddly couple shot, she also added a link to a donation page for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. While she left the Instagram image uncaptioned, the link is a subtle request for fans to donate to the society. The cause is near to Schumer’s heart since her father suffers from the disease, the magazine reported.
News of Schumer’s new relationship and hot boyfriend spread when the actress posted a Twitter post after the New Year holidays, which featured her in a group shot with her family and new man. Hanisch also took to Instagram on New Year’s day to share a sweet picture of himself with Schumer.
He captioned the image, “Sometimes in life you get extremely lucky, and the smartest, funniest, most beautiful woman comes along when you least expect it. Here's to what adventures 2016 brings!”
