Amy Winehouse Death: Cause Unknown, Condolences Pour Out

The Amy Winehouse death shocked and saddened her many fans. The singer was only 27 years old.

She was found dead at her apartment in London on Saturday. The cause of death remains unknown.

On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained, said a police statement, reported the UK Press Association.

Winehouse was a controversial singer and had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. On news of her death, though, celebrities and fans alike poured out grief and condolences.
