Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date Nears: OS Rollout For Samsung Galaxy S4 Expected Soon As “Final” Test-Build Firmware Leaks
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to update soon to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and a recent firmware leak suggests S4 is right on schedule to receive the update.
SamMobile has gotten its hands on Android 4.3 firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is believed to be one of the final test builds before the Android 4.3 official release. The build version I9505XXUEMJ3 is available for download on the GT-I9505 Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 model of the Samsung Galaxy S4, and it is said to include all aspects of the Android 4.3 release build. Any further updates would simply be bug fixes and other minor improvements.
While we don’t recommend installing such firmware onto your Samsung Galaxy S4, it is available. Those who wish to flash either build should do so with caution and back up their handsets beforehand.

Samsung Galaxy Android 4.3 Release Schedule
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has been out since late July, and during the early September unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Korean manufacturer announced that several older Galaxy handsets such as the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 would be receiving software updates, including Android 4.3. Thus far, various reports have determined that the Android 4.3 update would roll out into Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 in October, while the Galaxy Note 2 is expect to update to Android 4.3 in November or December.
Sources have told SamMobile that we should expect Android 4.3 to begin rolling out on to Samsung Galaxy S4 handsets within the next two weeks for both the GT-I9505 and GT-I9500 models. Notably, the leak singles out only the international models of the Samsung Galaxy S4. This means U.S. models of the Galaxy S4 owners may have to wait a bit longer for the Android 4.3 update, and mobile carriers may roll out said updates independently due to carrier specific testing and certifications required for system updates to roll out in the U.S. However, the international Samsung Galaxy S4 updating to Android 4.3 may at least be a good sign that U.S. models will update at some point.
Samsung Galaxy Current Status
The Samsung Galaxy S4 currently runs the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and was the first Samsung handset to feature that operating system. The Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 both run various iterations of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
