Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date Rumors: HTC One Update Expected This Week, Mass Rollout In Late September Or Early October Rumored
We are now in the last days of September and HTC fans are eagerly anticipating the promised Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One.
News directly from HTC president Jason Mackenzie indicates that the HTC One will skip the Android 4.2.2 update in favor for Android 4.3, and was recently reiterated with Mackenzie saying news about the Android 4.3 update would be coming this week. Despite being early in the week, we have heard no news from HTC about the update.
Currently, tech informant @LlabTooFeR says that if the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for U.S. handsets does not roll out by the end of September, it will reach the smartphones by early October.
With little more left to do other than wait, many note that various issues often arise that delay software updates beyond their expected timeline.
AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are expected to receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update and Verizon may possibly see the update as well, as Mackenzie noted that all U.S. SKUs (carriers) will update to Android 4.3. The Verizon HTC One, which released in August with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on board, is currently the only standard U.S. model to receive an updated Android version.
The HTC One Google Play Edition notably released with the stock version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and has since updated to Android 4.3
