Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Released For Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F)
Samsung began rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware update to its Galaxy S5 smartphone with model number SM-G900F on Wednesday. The update was released a month after Google released the final Lollipop code to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) on Nov. 4.
The latest Lollipop firmware, which comes with version number “LRX21T,” is currently available only in Poland. But, users in other parts of Europe are expected to receive the latest Android 5.0 update soon. Details about the release of the new firmware for Galaxy S5 models in U.S. are still not known, SamMobile reported.
The new firmware is 1.4 GB in size and includes additional improvements from Samsung like floating toggles and modified quick settings, XDA Developers reported, adding that the latest firmware is much faster than previous Android versions.
In addition to the new "Material Design" user interface, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update includes Samsung’s own applications with a colored status bar and new font. Samsung has also shed its traditional blue theme and replaced it with a white one.
