Andy Cohen poked fun at his close pal Anderson Cooper after they missed their supposed vacation together due to the coronavirus pandemic by sharing the latter's topless photos.
Cohen and Cooper have forged a close friendship over the years. Just like others BFFs, they also try to annoy each other and that's what Cohen wanted to achieve in his latest post on Instagram when he shared some of the CNN anchor's shirtless photos.
"If it were a normal year, I’d be on vacation with my pal...threatening to post shirtless pics of him. Well, it’s 2020 and I’m sitting on my deck so I figured I’d just post without asking and piss him off! #SilverFox," Cohen wrote on Instagram.
Cohen's post received mixed reactions, with some laughing and others thanking him for the photos.
"This is community service, we thank you for being a good friend and sharing this in our time of need," one commented.
"That’s what friends are for," another commented with a smiling emoji.
"This is the kind of content we need with everything going on in the world right now lol," a different follower wrote.
"Can you guys just get married already?" another asked.
Cohen and Cooper were almost set up on a blind date in the ‘90s. However, they never developed a romantic relationship because the "Watch What Happens Live" host broke Cooper's "cardinal rule" of dating by mentioning his socialite mom, Gloria Vanderbilt, Us Weekly reported.
"Andy and I were first set up on a blind date, which never happened because we had a phone call and after two minutes I said, ‘I’m not dating this guy,’” Cooper recalled on "Watch What Happens Live" in December 2016.
"He broke my cardinal rule … he mentioned my mom within the first four sentences of meeting me.”
Even if they never dated, the two remained good friends over the years. In fact, Cohen was there when Cooper's mom passed away. Cooper was also by Cohen's side when the latter was still recovering from coronavirus.
Cooper and Cohen have also introduced each other to their kids. The journalist shared an adorable video of them on New Year’s Day.
In April, Cooper welcomed his son, Wyatt, via a surrogate. Meanwhile, Cohen is also a dad to Benjamin Allen, 1, whom he also welcomed via a surrogate.
