Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt To Meet Pope Francis: Will Shiloh And Zahara Join?
Being a celebrity certainly comes with its perks, like an audience with the pope. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will see Pope Francis after they landed in Rome Wednesday, multiple news sites reported. The couple has not claimed to be religious in the past, but “Brangelina,” like many others, have taken a liking to Pope Francis and the way he’s approached his position as the leader of the Catholic Church.
In 2013, he famously spoke on homosexuality: “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” It’s stances like those that Jolie and Pitt “admire,” Us Weekly wrote in an exclusive report.
For now, it’s just a rumor that Jolie and Pitt will see the pontiff for a special “VIP meet-and-greet at the Vatican.” But it’s been enough to send the Twitterverse into a frenzy over Hollywood stars meeting the head of the largest religious institution on Earth.
Though Jolie, a UN Good Will Ambassador, and Pitt landed in Rome Wednesday, the precise date they will allegedly meet with Pope Francis was not revealed. Along for the ride are the couple’s children Zahara and Shiloh. The superstar couple has a brood of six, but the two middle girls were the only ones mentioned.
There hasn’t been any mention if Shiloh and Zahara will meet the pope too, but it could be interesting. Gossip around Shiloh’s gender identity has taken the Internet by storm since the young girl, who is the first biological child born to Jolie and Pitt, has always liked to dress like a Tomboy. Pitt even said in a 2008 interview that Shiloh liked to be called John and won’t respond to anything else. Naturally, transgender rumors have taken off.
Jolie and Pitt recently tied the knot after nearly a decade of dating. They said their children were the ones who encouraged their marriage.
