Angelina Jolie is reportedly planning to release a “tell-all” memoir after finalizing the divorce proceedings from Brad Pitt.
A source told the news outlet, New Idea, that Jolie planned to write about her acting career, charitable works, parenting and her journey to get to where she is now. That said, the insider implied that the 44-year-old actress would write about love life and friends, including enemies.
The tipster further claimed that this would be the first time that Pitt’s ex would be given the opportunity to talk about a number of people and things in her own perspective, but the challenge would be striking a balance between “meaningful and hard-hitting” without sounding too bitter or have it too sensationalized.
Jolie previously admitted to not recognizing and losing herself. She said that it happened when her relationship with Pitt was coming to an end and the beginning of their separation. She said she became “smaller” and “almost insignificant,” Metro reported.
The “Maleficent” actress also felt a deep and genuine sadness. Additionally, she revealed that she suffered from health issues. Nevertheless, her entire experience taught her to appreciate life and reconnect the value of humility.
There had been no official confirmation about Jolie’s memoir but many believed that if it hits the bookstore, it would be a best seller.
Jolie, after being with Pitt for nearly a decade, married the “Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” actor in 2014; however, in 2016, the “Tomb Raider” actress filed for a divorce citing irreconcilable differences as the cause, BBC reported.
The act on Jolie’s part came after the alleged altercation of Pitt and their eldest son, Maddox, on a private plane. Back in 2016, there was footage of Pitt and his son’s fight taken at Minnesota International Airport but the video did not show any physical contact, Daily Mail reported.
The challenge, however, is the custody for their five kids —Pax Thien, 16, Zahara Marley, 15, Shiloh, 13, and twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, 11. It has been reported that Jolie filed for sole custody with Pitt retaining his visitation rights. On the other hand, Maddox Chivan, who’s now 18, is reportedly excluded since he already reached the legal age and can make his own choice.
Pitt and Jolie reportedly attempted to reach an agreement regarding the children’s custody through a private judge; however, on March 3, legal documents regarding Pitt and Jolie’s child custody evaluation were filed to a Los Angeles County Court with the details wrap under seal, The Blast reported.
