Is Angelina Jolie Dating? Friends Suspect Relationship With The Weeknd ‘Could Turn Romantic’

Angelina Jolie and The Weeknd have been spotted out on several occasions sparking dating rumors. Following their latest outing, those close to the stars believe their relationship could take a romantic turn.

Sources say the 46-year-old actress and the “Save Your Tears” singer have both denied a blossoming romance. However, insiders told Us Weekly Jolie “lights up” whenever she talks about her friendship with The Weeknd, who was born Abel Tesfaye.

​​“Both Angie and Abel are telling people that they are just friends, but those who know them think something romantic is going on,” the source said.

In July, insiders previously suggested Jolie and The Weeknd had a business relationship because the singer has been landing acting roles.

“They’re clearly not trying to hide [the dinner date],” a source told Page Six at the time. “He’s definitely focused on getting to the movie business. He has the new HBO series he’s starring in.”

However, now insiders claim The Weeknd, 31, “is in awe of” of Jolie and believe they may be moving past a platonic relationship. “Friends believe things could turn romantic.”

The “Maleficent 2” star and The Weeknd have reportedly been “playing down talk of anything serious.”

Reports of a blossoming romance come days after the two were spotted out together in Los Angeles. On Friday, The Weeknd and Jolie arrived separately at the popular Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi.

After dining in a private section of the restaurant for two and a half hours, they left together. The stars got into the same car and reportedly drove to The Weeknd’s Bel Air home.

Neither Jolie nor The Weeknd has commented on the extent of their relationship, but insiders believe the two have become closer.

“She’s definitely warming toward Abel,” the source said. “He’s been pouring on the charm and going out of his way to impress her.”
