Angelina Jolie’s ‘Affair Dress’ That Ended Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt’s Marriage Revealed

Angelina Jolie’s affair dress that reportedly sealed the end of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s marriage has been revealed.

In the seventh episode of Netflix’s “Styling Hollywood,” stylist Jason Bolden is on the hunt for a dress for his new client Eve. His client will be wearing the dress for her first Grammy.

Bolden heads to Irene Albright’s fashion library and design showroom to find inspiration. The curator introduced him to the “affair dress.”

Albright holds up the Gimabttista Valli ostrich feather dress and shares a story behind it that involves Aniston, Pitt and Jolie.

“This is what caused the break-up of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt … Angelina Jolie, the W Magazine,” she said. “Do you remember that spread? … That was the beginning of their affair.”

According to The Sun, the dress was worn by Jolie in a photoshoot for W entitled “Domestic Bliss: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at Home.” The 60-page spread was published in July 2005 and featured Jolie and Pitt who posed as a mid-century married couple. At the time both were starring in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”

The publication pointed out that there’s no proof that the dress was partly responsible for Aniston and Pitt’s marriage breakdown since it doesn’t fall within the timeline of their marital woes. Pitt and Jolie filmed “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” in 2004, a year before Aniston and Pitt divorced.

In 2005, Pitt and Aniston announced their separation and filed for divorce in March. On the same year, the production for “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” took place. Pitt and Jolie were doing reshoots for the film and began going on holidays together in April 2005, which was around the same time of the W shoot.

In January 2006, less than a year after Aniston and Pitt’s split, Jolie and the “Ad Astra” star announced that they were expecting their first child. According to Leslie Bennetts, who did a tell-all-interview with Aniston in the same year, the “Murder Mystery” star looked as if she was stabbed in the heart when she was asked about Jolie and Pitt expecting a baby.

Aniston already forgave Pitt and Jolie because she is a forgiving person. The “Cake” star said that there’s nothing worse than holding a grudge.
