Angelina Jolie’s ‘Maleficent’ Reportedly Casts Princess Aurora...And It’s Vivienne Jolie-Pitt
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have another star in their house. It's reported that four-year-old daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt has landed the role of Princess Aurora in the upcoming "Sleeping Beauty" retelling, "Maleficent."
The Sun reports that Jolie thought that her youngest daughter would be perfect for the role, and it seems like her bosses agreed. "Ange thought it would be a fun experience for her and Viv to share," said a source. "And Viv is a natural."
"Maleficent," which has already been shooting in England, is a live action version of the Disney animated film "Sleeping Beauty." According to IMDB, the movie will show the tale of "Sleeping Beauty" from the "perspective of the princess' evil nemesis, Maleficent."
While Elle Fanning, sister to "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2" star Dakota Fanning, has landed the role of grown-up Princess Aurora, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt will reportedly be tackling the role of a younger version of the princess.
If the casting news is true, Jolie-Pitt will also star beside Juno Temple (Thistletwit), Miranda Richardson (Queen Ulla), India Eisley (Young Maleficent), Sharlto Copley (Stefan) and Sam Riley (Diaval).
The casting reports for the four-year-old does not come without trouble for the Jolie-Pitt clan. Although as Yahoo's entertainment gossip site points out that Shiloh Jolie Pitt tackled the role of Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett's young daughter in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," the Jolie-Pitt kids are reportedly a little jealous of their sibling.
"The other kids are now nagging Ange and Brad to land them roles," explained the source to The Sun.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have yet to confirm Vivienne Jolie-Pitt's casting.
"Maleficent" is set to hit theaters in March 2014.
