J attempted to align himself with Pope after his plans to destroy Smurf and take over the Cody family began to fall apart. On “Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 11, Pope will realize J can’t be trusted.

“Pope (Shawn Hatosy) grows suspicious of J (Finn Cole) when Angela (Emily Deschanel) reveals the circumstances of her disappearance,” the “Julia” synopsis teases.

In the promo video for the TNT series, Pope confronts J about lying and reveals once Smurf (Ellen Barkin) is gone, J will be kicked out of the Cody family.

In the previous episode, Angela disappeared after she used the money J left on the table to buy drugs. Once Pope figured out she was high, he locked her in the bathroom to detox. It appears Angela will tell Pope how J played a part in her relapse.

Will Pope suspect J set Angela up or will something else cause him to turn against his nephew?

“As the threats against Adrian (Spencer Treat Clark) loom larger, Deran (Jake Weary) scrambles to find a way out,” the “Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 11 synopsis says. In the promo video for the TNT drama, Deran warns Adrian that if he stays, he’s dead.

In the previous episode, Smurf learned Adrian was talking to the cops and told Deran to handle it, or she would get Pope to do it. Deran has done everything he could to keep Adrian out of prison, but how far will he go to protect his boyfriend from his family?

“Craig (Ben Robson) navigates new complications in his relationship with Renn (Christina Ochoa),” the “Julia” synopsis states. In the previous episode, Renn’s mother, Candice (Constance Marie), told Craig about her plan to adopt the baby since a child wouldn’t fit into his and Renn’s lifestyles.

However, Craig reminded Candice that she wasn’t a great mother and that he and Renn would raise their baby together. When Craig and Renn bring their son home, will their relationship survive?

“Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 11 airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
