Ann Coulter On Jimmie Walker Dating Rumors: ‘Best Of Friends, Love Him, No Romance’

Ann Coulter is not in a relationship. The political commentator has finally addressed claims that she and Jimmie Walker are an item.

On Wednesday, Coulter took to Twitter to deny Norman Lear’s statement that she and Walker are dating. She insisted that while she cares about him, she and Walker are only close friends. “Best of friends, love him, no romance. @mailonline: Anne Coulter is dating star of Good Times Jimmie Walker,” she wrote on her social media account.

Coulter has been linked to the “Airplane!” star for years now, but she has never mentioned any romantic ties with him.

Rumors of them dating were fueled when on Monday, Lear sat down for an interview with Kenya Barris for the Untold stories of Entertainment Weekly. During the chat, they talked about Walker’s “Good Times” casting and his personal life. “I knew that the role could make him a star,” Lear said about Walker getting casted as on the CBS hit TV series as JJ, who was popular for his “Dy-no-mite” catchphrase.

“I love him; he’s a wonderful guy, but I’ll tell you something about him that’ll astound you: He dates Ann Coulter,” Lear told Barris.

The writer and producer then explained that he and his wife had dinner with Walker and Coulter. After the encounter, Lear learned that Coulter is “a dreamy, delicious, sweet person.”

Coulter and Walker have been spotted together in public in the past years. According to Daily Mail, while the two seemed to be an odd pair at first glance, their political views are not so different. However, Coulter remains firm that Walker is just a close friend.

This is not the first time Walker has addressed the dating rumors plaguing them. Aside from her recent tweet, the political commentator said the same thing in 2013 during an interview with The Huffington Post. When she was asked if she had a relationship with him back then, Coulter simply laughed and said it was Walker who spread the rumors that they were dating. She stressed that they were just great friends and that they do a lot of stuff together. She added that she finds him hilarious and though they go out together, they are not technically dating.
