  • Anna Camp shared she contracted the novel coronavirus because she missed wearing a mask "one time"
  • Camp said COVID-19 is not the same as the flu and listed a few symptoms of coronavirus
  • Jennifer Aniston also encouraged the public to wear masks all the time

Anna Camp contracted the novel coronavirus after deciding to not wear her mask "one time." The actress shared her COVID-19 experience on Instagram.

The government is encouraging the public to wear face masks at all time. But many people are still not doing this. Because of this, the "Pitch Perfect" star has shared her experience about not wearing mask on social media and how it resulted in her testing positive for COVID-19.

"Hi friends... I felt it was my responsibility to share that I ended up getting Covid-19," Camp wrote on Instagram.

"I have since tested negative, but I was extremely sick for over three weeks and still have lingering symptoms. I was incredibly safe. I wore a mask. I used hand sanitizer. One time, when the world was starting to open up, I decided to forgo wearing my mask in public. One. Time. And I ended up getting it. I believe it may have been because of that one time."

Camp also stressed that the disease is not comparable to the flu. According to her, she completely lost her sense of smell and taste. The other symptoms she experienced included dizziness, extreme fatigue, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting and fever. The "Desperados" actress ended her post by encouraging others to wear their masks.

"Please wear ur mask. It can happen any time. And it can happen to anyone. Even that one time you feel safe. We can all make a difference. Wearing a mask is saving lives," she continued.

She also thanked those who reached out to check on her and encouraged the rest to "do our part and wear a mask."

"I don’t want any of you to go through what I did. Even though it’s a little thing, it can have a huge impact, and it’s so incredibly easy to do," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox recently shared a photo of them wearing matching face masks. Both also support the use of face masks. Just like Camp, "The Morning Show" star encouraged others to wear mask all the time.

"I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable. But don’t you feel that it’s worse that businesses are shutting down... jobs are being lost... health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion. And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough," Aniston wrote on Instagram.
