Anna Cardwell Is Spitting Image Of Mama June As She Debuts New Blonde Look

Anna Cardwell looked nearly identical to her mom June “Mama June” Shannon in her latest social media post where she debuted her new blonde look.

The 27-year-old former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star took to Instagram Friday to tell fans that she decided to ditch her purple hair and go back to having blonde locks. She posted a selfie showing off her newly dyed mane and explained in the caption why she changed her hair color.

“Not what everyone was guessing, but I will think about a few of the colors. But for right now, I’m back [to] blonde. [I've] got an interview for a good job so had to go back, but what [do you] think?” she wrote.

Fans were surprised to see Cardwell’s latest update since she’s been rocking purple hair since July. Many thought that she would be keeping it that way for a long time because she’s been raving about the hair color for months in her posts.

Meanwhile, a number of fans couldn’t help but compare her new look to her controversial mom’s appearance since the mother and daughter now sport the same blonde locks.

“You look so much like your mama in this pic,” one fan wrote.

“[You] look like your mother with blonde hair,” another commented.

“I thought this was June… Wow, she really does resemble her mother,” a third user added.

The 42-year-old matriarch and Cardwell were estranged from each other for years. Their relationship was strained when the latter sued her mom for $300,000 in 2015 because she and her daughter, Kaitlyn, were allegedly not paid for their appearances on their now-defunct reality show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”

But the mother and daughter patched things up in June when Cardwell showed up at her 21-year-old sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon’s baby shower in Gordon, Georgia. Since everyone in the family was there, Mama June got to reunite with Cardwell for the first time in years.

Last month, Cardwell opened up about her mom’s sobriety and rumored relationship with a much younger man in an exclusive interview with The Sun. At the time, she expressed concern for Mama June since the man being linked to her, 24-year-old Jordan McCollum, is also battling drug addiction issues.

“If he starts using again, that’s not healthy for Mama and he’s only 24 years old. Mama needs to calm down and focus on herself,” Cardwell said of the TikTok influencer. She also slammed McCollum, saying that he probably “just wants money” from her mom.

Mama June has since broken her silence on her rumored romantic relationship with McCollum, saying, “I’m very proud to call Jordan my best friend. Nothing more, nothing less.”
