Anna Faris has shared her reason for eloping with her husband, Michael Barrett.

Faris, 44, was spotted at LAX airport over the weekend with her 51-year-old partner. The "House Bunny" star confirmed to the paparazzi that they tied the knot in a private courthouse ceremony on their own, citing their ages as the main reason for their decision.

"With a little bit of age, you don't need the whole thing," Faris was quoted by Page Six as saying.

In photos obtained by the outlet, the couple appeared loved up, holding hands as they went up the airport escalator together.

Faris donned a black T-shirt, faded jeans and brown boots. She accessorized with a necklace, a hat and a gray face mask. Her husband also dressed for comfort in a dark blue T-shirt and jeans. Barrett sported a mask as well and carried a backpack.

The "Mom" alum, who was first linked to Barrett in October 2017, also said that "it was just us" during the nuptials and that it was her decision to elope.

Faris confirmed in February 2020 that she was engaged to the cinematographer, whom she met while working on the movie "Overboard."

She revealed that they were married in July while speaking with guest Gail Simmons in an episode of her podcast, "Anna Faris Is Unqualified." She casually mentioned that Barrett was no longer her fiancé but her husband.

"I think we've spent the last year in a place of reflection, in a place of kind of prioritization to some degree, a place of anxiety, a place of like, whatever, assessment. But I'm looking around, just so, just my fiancé's right... he's now my husband," Faris said.

The "Scary Movie" star then apologized to her husband for blurting out the news, explaining that it was difficult for her to keep referring to him as her fiancé after they wed.

"Yes, we eloped...I'm sorry. I didn't know... I'm sorry, honey. I just blurted that out, but it just feels [like] I can't say fiancé anymore," Faris continued. "Thank you, it was awesome. It feels great. It was at a local courthouse up in Washington state. It was great."

Faris was married twice before Barrett. She previously tied the knot with first husband Ben Indra in 2004, and they split in 2008. She later married Chris Pratt in 2009, but they divorced in 2018. Faris and Pratt share an 8-year-old son, Jack.

In a chat with Gwyneth Paltrow on her podcast in March, Faris shared that "competitiveness" took a toll on her previous marriages with the two actors.

"My two other marriages were with actors and I don't think we did a great job of eliminating competitiveness," she said. "Any hint of competitiveness and comparison, I didn't handle that very well, I don't think. And I hope I've grown from that."
