Anne Hathaway is now rocking the androgynous look, as she was seen over the weekend sporting a new, short haircut along with her dramatic weight loss for an upcoming role.

Hathaway was seen leaving The Box nightclub in London early Sunday morning with her short hair and thin frame with fiancé Adam Shulman. She is seen in paparazzi photos covering her head to hide her new pixie cut.

The 29-year-old actress cut off her long brown locks for her latest role in the movie adaption of Les Miserables, where she stars as Fantine, a single mother and prostitute who cuts off her hair in order to sell it to help feed her child. The film also stars Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe opposite Hathaway.

Hathaway was also seen hiding her pin-thing figure underneath a heavy, baggy coat. She is on a strict crash diet so she can lose 16 pounds for the role as Fantine, which requires eating fewer than 500 calories per day over three weeks. However, he rep denied claims to the Huffington Post that she is on such an extreme diet.

The story is a huge exaggeration, Hathaway's rep Stephen Huvane told The Huffington Post. Anne is on a special diet, but is not looking to lose that much weight and she's consuming more than 500 calories a day. She just needs to look more frail as she is playing a prostitute who is dying of tuberculosis.
