Anonymous Animal Rights Activists Take Credit for Idaho Fur Store Fire
An anonymous group of animal rights activists have taken credit for causing an Idaho fur store fire.
The self-proclaimed arson unit issued a statement through the North American Animal Liberation Press Office.
By oppressing innocent life, you've lost your rights, the unit said. We've come to take you down a notch. Stay in business and we'll be back.
The store, Rocky Mountain Fur & Fireworks Co., is located north of Caldwell, according to Boise Weekly.
The store sells a variety of animal products, including furs and tanning formula. It also sells various trap equipment.
Authorities are investigating the fire.
Assistant special agent Mark Leiser of the Seattle Field Division of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said evidence would be analyzed before we can make a determination of the veracity of the statement, Reuters reported.
