Anti-Fauci Fans Slam Infectious Disease Expert As ‘Sexiest Man Alive’
Dr. Anthony Fauci has been proclaimed the “Sexiest Man Alive” by British publication “The Guardian,” but many anti-fans were quick to point out the nation’s leading infectious disease expert was anything but.
“The Guardian” gave the 80-year-old Fauci the honor in an Instagram post on Monday, saying he had become an “unlikely cult hero for millions of people during the COVID pandemic.”
The post was accompanied by Fauci posing in a photoshoot, which “The Guardian” linked to a full-feature article about the director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
But the reaction to Fauci being named “Sexiest Man Alive” not only produced some criticism, but many on social media thought the new title was a complete joke.
One Twitter user said, “This is horrific.”
Many others on Twitter said that Fauci as “Sexist Man Alive” was making them sick.
While another anti-Fauci fan said they “don’t care,” and another was shaking their head at the whole notion.
Still, another thought there were much more attractive men to choose for the title.
And one Twitter just gave up on the whole idea.
The Instagram post is leading up to a self-titled documentary about Fauci that will be released this fall.
