Anti-Maskers Beware: YouTuber's New Innovation Shoots Face Masks Straight Onto People's Faces
KEY POINTS
- Face coverings are becoming increasingly mandatory
- Despite insisting, some people still refuse to wear masks
- Youtuber Allen Pan's new innovation might help solve this problem
The Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention CDC) recommends that people wear face masks in public settings to reduce the spread of COVID-19. But some people still refuse to wear masks and are putting even more lives in danger. YouTuber Allen Pan believes his innovation might be a solution to America’s Pandemic problem.
'Mask Gun'
Pan has invented a gun that launches face masks straight onto people’s faces. To construct this launcher, Pan used the pistol-styled grip from a spray paint can, alongside a CO2 canister’s solenoid valve and several parts from a car’s brake line. The ‘mask gun’ works well with a mask being catapulted onto a person’s face before wrapping around the back of their head. The video shows how the mask fits nicely over Pan’s nose and mouth.
Despite repeated warnings from health experts, public health officials, and governments worldwide, some people still continue to resist mask requirements. Some city authorities have started taking action against people who flout rules. And there are some anti-maskers who have had indulged in disputes with essential workers who insisted mask requirement.
Pan’s YouTube video shows some Americans who refuse to wear masks at grocery stores and supermarkets and emphasizes on how several people had created educational videos that explain the effectiveness of face-covering in curbing infections.
“Look at these mask*****, mouth-breathing, nose-revealing, bird-brained, monkey**** Mask*****. It feels like people just aren’t wearing masks, but they should be... Am only talking about Americans btw, this is kind of a uniquely American problem,” said Pan in his YouTube Video where he has explained the making of his new device.
After growing tired and concerned about Americans taking to public places without wearing protective face masks, he decided to do something beyond educational videos and campaigns. He calls it the “second amendment” where, instead of taking conventional approaches to pleading people to wear face masks, he invented a device that shoots masks straight into people’s faces.
"I made a mask launcher and brought it to Huntington Beach, which is one of the most anti-mask cities in southern California. What could possibly go wrong? Help me shoot more people in the face! ," said Pan on his YouTube page.
