Antonio Brown To The Bills? Twitter Erupts With Hilarious Reactions
The Pittsburgh Steelers have given NFL fans a great source of entertainment for the weekend after it was reported that they are close to reaching a trade agreement with the Buffalo Bills for wide receiver Antonio Brown.
Brown is one of NFL’s top wide receivers, having made the All-Pro team for the last four seasons, while also leading receptions and passing yards twice. He was also the leader in the NFL for receiving touchdowns in 2018, with 15. The Bills have 11 touchdowns combined between all their receivers during the course of the campaign.
The 30-year-old fell out with the Steelers management at the end of the last season when he had a disagreement with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, which saw him miss practices and team meetings before their game in Week 17. He was benched for the final game and for a certain amount of time there was a belief that they will reach a compromise and Brown will be part of the Steelers for the upcoming campaign. But the relationship between the team and the receiver has deteriorated over the last couple of months after which he demanded a trade.
Brown recently stated that the trade will happen according to his rules and that he wanted to join a team that contends for a place in the post-season and the Super Bowl. The Bills are anything but contenders after finishing third in the American Football Conference (AFC) East standings with a 6-10 record. The wide receiver has branded the news as fake, but it has been reported by a number of NFL insiders, who are certain that a move is in the pipeline.
And the recent news on the potential move has got the NFL fans in splits, with many taking to social media to poke fun at the wide receiver. Bills quarterback Josh Allen also has been at the receiving end of some ridicule.
