After releasing the list of best performing phones of of this year's first quarter, AnTuTu is back in news with a holistic report on the top 10 best-performing smartphones of this year's first half. The report covers the time period between Jan. 1 and July 1.

According to Phone Arena, when AnTuTu released the Q1 2015 report, Samsung thrashed every other flagship smartphone to secure the No. 1 position. The 64-bit, Exynos 7420-powered Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge scored the top two positions. This was followed by HTC’s 2015 flagship One M9.

But now, it’s time for the report on the Google Android devices released thus far. As it turns out, the rankings for the year's first half are little changed from the rankings for the first quarter. The Samsung duo, namely the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, are still going strong and are placed comfortably in No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively. The HTC One M9, on the other hand, has given up the No. 3 position to the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, which comes powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC. This Chinese marvel is reportedly followed by the LeTV 1 Pro, again with the same Qualcomm chipset as the Xiaomi device.

On the other hand, the No. 5 position has been occupied by ZTE Nubia Z9 Max. However, the No. 6 spot is where the supposedly impressive flagship HTC One M9 sits at this point. In the meantime, the smaller sibling Nubia Z9 has taken up the No. 7 spot. The remaining spots in the top 10 for the first half of 2015 are occupied by the base model LeTV 1 smartphone, followed by 2014 flagship Samsung Galaxy S5 and Google’s Nexus 6.

In addition to the best performing phones list, AnTuTu has published a pie chart covering the split between the chipsets housed in the devices. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chip is part of 50 percent of the phones that visited AnTuTu site. This chip is reportedly followed by last year’s Snapdragon 805 and Samsung’s powerful Exynos 7420 SoC. Both these chipsets occupy the No. 2 position, with a 20 percent share. MediaTek MT6795, on the other hand, settles for a 10 percent share.
