Apple’s next AirPods has been seen in one of the latest updates for the iOS. The upcoming earpods is said to be waterproof and even has some other improvements. As the hype builds for the device, should fans look out for the next AirPods 3?

A new glyph found in the iOS 13.2 beta showed that a new AirPods may be coming soon. The glyph showed an earpiece that has interchangeable tips. However, Apple has yet to officially release any details on the next generation AirPods after the 2019 second generation release.

The interchangeable tips on the AirPods could help the device fit in more users’ ears. The current AirPods is designed with a “one size fits all” design but still slips through some users ears at times. The interchangeable buds will allow the AirPods owners to customize the pods with the right buds that’ll fit their ear.

Other than its interchangeable buds, Apple is said to have been developing the next AirPods to be waterproof. As of now, the current AirPods is iPX4 water resistant which makes it safe from splashes. However, the pods can’t survive getting submerged for some time. Apple could look to improve this resistance for the AirPods 3 iteration of the device.

Lastly, the device is also said to receive its noise cancellation mode through the upcoming “Focus mode.” The AirPods 3 could activate and deactivate its noise cancellation feature through this new mode.
