Pin Multiple Conversations
Those who like pinned posts on social media will be glad to know that iOS 14 lets users pin important conversations in the Messages app so they will stay on top regardless whether newer messages will appear or not. Users can pin or unpin single or multiple conversations as needed.
Wind Down
Wind Down is a new feature designed to help users prepare for bedtime. It will help users relax and reduce potential distractions so users can ease themselves to sleep. Users can set when they want Wind Down to start before activating Sleep Mode.
Sleep Mode
Speaking of Sleep Mode, Apple has replaced Bedtime Mode with Sleep Mode in iOS 14. When activated, this mode turns Do Not Disturb (DND) on so that notifications will be kept at bay. It will also simply the Lock Screen so that users will not be distracted in the event that they wake up in the middle of their sleep. This feature can be turned on or off from the Control Center.
Siri Automation for Low Power Mode
Apple also added a new Siri Automation that will work when the device is low on power or charging. Users will be able to set Siri to tweak battery-hungry functions when the device enters Low Power Mode. These tweaks include lowering brightness, enabling DND, turning Bluetooth off, turning location off and so on.
Clipboard Data Notifications
iOS 14 users will now see banner notifications alerting them when an app or widget reads their clipboard data. This will help users know what apps access the clipboard, and will also tell them when the apps access the data stored in it.
The notification will indicate what an app or widget does with clipboard data, iPhoneHacks noted. For example, when the Chrome browser copies text from the Notes app, iOS 14 will show a banner notification saying “Chrome pasted from Notes.” The notification will last only for a while before disappearing.
