Apple iPad Air 2 Heavily Discounted By $250, Amid iPad Air 3 Rumors
Rumors about a possible iPad Air 3 have started making rounds online. To corroborate the report further, eBay has cut down the price of the well-received Apple iPad Air 2 (current-generation) by $250 for a limited period of time.
Released back in October 2014, the iPad Air 2 is one of the slimmest tablets available in the market. Even though Apple has stopped selling the 128GB version of the iPad Air 2, third-party vendors and e-retailers in the U.S. are still having some stocks left. With the report of iPad Air 3’s imminent arrival expected to be in autumn 2016, the stocks are being cleared at a discounted price.
EBay has now listed the Wi-Fi only 128GB Apple iPad Air 2 Retina for $449.99. The original price of this device used to be $699.99. It is worth noting that this variant is an “open box item.” Even though the iPad is brand new, the manufacturer provided box is “lightly distressed.” And this is precisely why the seller is tossing in 1-year warranty with the purchase of this item.
Seller Quick Ship Electronics is very popular in eBay with an enviable approval rate of 99.7 percent. So far, 24 discounted units of this iPad Air 2 have been sold. Upon purchasing the device, buyers can avail free shipping service from eBay.
As for specifications, the Apple iPad Air 2 features a 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display, complemented by 1,536 x 2,048 pixels resolution. This display combination translates to a pixel density of 264 ppi.
Under the hood, the tablet comes powered by an Apple A8X processor and it is backed by 2GB of RAM. The slate runs on iOS 8, but it is upgradable to the latest version.
Other key iPad Air 2 specifications include an 8-megapixel rear-facing sensor, 1.2-megapixel front-facing shooter, Li-Po 27.3 Wh non-removable battery unit and a fingerprint scanner.
