Apple iPad Mini Shipments To Start In 5 Days, Confirms Company

For all those customers in the U.S, who have been impatiently waiting for the Wi-Fi + Cellular version of the all new 7.9-inch iPad mini, here is some good news straight from the horse’s mouth. Apple has confirmed via emails to its customers Friday that the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant of the mini tablet will be shipped to the customers who had pre-ordered it within the next five business days.

With that said, it seems that the LTE capable device is all set to reach the customers, with the opening wave to leave suppliers expectantly by the end of next week. Even if the email brings a ray of hope to the customers, it doesn’t actually provide any further details about specific delivery dates of the iPad mini.

However, in a subsequent message, Apple said that it would follow up the consignment with a tracking number, Slashgear reported.

At the launch of the iPad mini last month, Apple didn’t reveal much about specific availability details of the device. The only thing that the company said while putting the smaller iOS tablet up for pre-order was that it would be made available in mid-November. Later, the date was moved to Nov. 21, but was again redacted afterwards.

At the time of reporting, Apple’s online store was showing a two-week shipping estimate for both the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of the iPad mini. On the other hand, outside of the U.S., customers will have to wait even longer. In the UK, for instance, the Apple Store lists “late November” for the Wi-Fi + Cellular version of the iPad mini and the Wi-Fi model is at two weeks.

The 16GB Wi-Fi model of the iPad mini is priced at $329, while the 32GB and 64GB versions cost $429 and $529, respectively. On the other hand, the 16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model of the device is priced at $459, while the 32GB and 64GB versions cost $559 and $659, respectively.

The AT&T and Verizon models of the iPad mini support LTE connectivity, however, not necessarily while roaming outside of the U.S.
