Apple iPad Pro Demand Soars As Shipping Date Gets Delayed
The preorder status of the iPad Pro indicates that there is huge demand for the 12.9-inch tablet from Apple. Both Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the 128 GB model are expected to start shipping at the end of this month.
According to the official iPad Pro page, if a buyer preorders the 32 GB variant today in any of the color variants like silver, gold and space gray, it will be delivered by Nov. 19 for free. By extra fee of $10 will get the tablet delivered by Nov. 18. The 32 GB iPad Pro variant cost $749.
However, the shipping period is not the same for the 128 GB model. If a user preorders a Wi-Fi or LTE enabled 128 GB iPad Pro today in any of the colors, the tablet will be delivered from Dec. 1 to Dec. 3 for free. By extra fee, the delivery can be expedited to occur between Nov. 27 and Dec. 1. The Wi-Fi only 128 GB variant costs $949 whereas the Wi-Fi and LTE enabled model with same storage is priced at $1,079.
The Apple Pencil is the optional stylus that can be purchased for $99. The Smart Keyboard is the other accessory available for the iPad Pro that is priced at $169. Currently, both the accessories are expected to ship to the customers in around 4 to 5 weeks. It means buyers of these accessories will have to wait longer to use them on the newly purchased iPad Pro.
The first batch of Wi-Fi and LTE enabled iPad Pro with 128 GB storage was sold on Nov. 12. Hence, it appears that the company may have underestimated the demand for its largest iPad, GSM Arena reported. According to Pocket Now, in other countries such as the U.K. or Italy, the 32 GB iPad Pro is available for shipping in one business day and the 128 GB variants are shipped within a week.
