Chinese electronics manufacturing company Foxconn is preparing to put up many job postings as of late. The positions are said to be for the mass production of the upcoming iPhone 11 lineup that’s expected to debut later this year.

Foxconn’s new openings are for factory assemblers according to Chinese news site Economic News Daily. The openings are for thousands of new employees, and the company is luring many workers with a sign-on bonus worth $650 equivalent in Chinese Yuan.

More than just the company’s need for more manpower, Foxconn is known for these massive hiring sprees when trying to produce more devices for the holidays. Potentially, the company is preparing the new iPhones since it’s no secret that Foxconn is one of Apple’s biggest partners in China.

While Foxconn could be handling the device production on their end, Apple still has to deal with the trade tariffs and restrictions due to the tensions between the U.S. and China. Foxconn reportedly has a solution for this, but it involves producing all iPhones going to the U.S. from facilities outside of China, according to Cult of Mac.

Since the start of 2019, Apple has been focused on pushing out new services and subscriptions instead. Major announcements about new devices have been very elusive.

The recent 2019 releases of new smart devices are mostly surprise announcements from the company’s official site. The tech giant’s latest device reveal on the main stage is the new Mac Pro that features state-of-the-art specs and even an expensive stand.

The company has also yet to reveal official information about the iPhone 11 series. However, speculations and rumors around the flagship device indicate that it’ll have 5G mobile data support, new cameras, and an OLED display. Since Apple has yet to confirm the details, these features could only be potentially added to the new device.

Lastly, the release date of these new iPhones is yet to be confirmed. Tech enthusiasts and fans are only following the company’s usual annual release period, which falls between September and October. This means the launch date of Apple’s new devices is bound to happen very soon.
