Apple iPhone XR Revamp May Feature Dual-Lens Camera

Apple will reportedly improve the iPhone XR’s cameras in the next iPhone device to be released this 2019. The new update would be adding another lens to the device’s cameras to further improve the image quality of pictures taken and add more variety for its users. Here’s what we know about this.

According to Mac Otakara, Chinese suppliers say that that the next iPhone XR revamp would have dual-lens cameras. One lens would be a wide-angle and the second lens would be a telephoto. As of now, the iPhone XR only has the wide-angle lens. However, Mac Otakara didn’t specify their sources exactly for this report so take it with a grain of salt.

So far, Apple has used the telephoto technology to provide their cameras with 2x optical zooming features. The telephoto lens are also used for Apple’s camera Portrait mode photos. The Dual Lens camera feature on the 2019 iPhone XR revamp would provide its users with a reliable telephoto lens camera with the wide-angle camera complimenting it for special effects for the photo.

Other than the XR revamp, speculations also say that the next iPhone XI, which comes in 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch, devices would have triple-lens cameras. The triple-lens technology allows users to take pictures with depth. To give way for the new technology, Apple is looking to up the size of their devices which is in contrast to the their previous releases that aimed to further reduce the phone’s size to as slim and performance efficient as possible.

As of now, Apple is still focusing on releasing new services this 2019. In the last March event, Apple pushed four new subscription services that will be released later this year. Moreover, most of Apple’s updates to their devices and recent releases have been released in media silence. As for the company’s vocal announcements for the next devices, Apple’s announcements have been vague without much reveal of its new features and even its release date.

However, Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2019 is slated to happen this coming June 3 to 7. Apple may have some official details for the next iPhone XR revamp this year or any devices they’ll release other the next generation AirPods 2.
