Apple might release a slew of new products during the first half of the year, including some interesting devices or accessories that its fans will like.
According to a research note from famed TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumors), Apple plans to release several new products, some of them widely rumored, within the first half of 2020. The new products include the highly anticipated iPhone SE successor, a new iPad Pro and MacBook model, a Tile-like device, a new audio accessory, and a charging mat.
“We forecast that Apple's major new hardware products in 1H20 include the 4.7-inch LCD iPhone, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro/Air, smaller wireless charging mat, UWB tag, and a high-end Bluetooth headphone,” the analyst with a solid track record when it comes to Apple predictions, wrote in the note.
Here's a quick look at what the new devices and accessories might bring:
4.7-inch iPhone
Rumors say Apple is currently working on a successor to the wildly successful iPhone SE, called the iPhone SE 2. The new device is said to come in an iPhone 8 body and will have a 4.7-inch display. The device, despite the older look, is powered by the A13 chip similar to the one inside the iPhone 11 series, and will allow users to enjoy Cupertino's new services such as Apple Arcade.
iPad Pro
Previous reports reveal that Apple is working on a new iPad Pro model with a 3D sensor in its rear camera setup. The device is seen to help users recreate third-dimensional models of rooms, objects and even people. A report also claims that the new model might come with a new Smart Keyboard that has a new mechanism, although it's unclear if the report is accurate.
MacBook Pro/Air
Earlier reports also revealed that Apple might be working on new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models. The tech giant might release a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Magic Keyboard, or a new MacBook Air with a redesigned keyboard as well.
UWB Tag
Apple is also reportedly working on a Tile-like device that will likely be called AirTag. This device makes use of the Ultra-wideband chip that allows iDevices to locate missing iPhones. This device will make it easy for users to locate missing items, as long as the tag is attached to them.
Charging Mat
Kuo said Apple will release a smaller charging mat in 1H 2020. This might be Cupertino's alternative to the AirPower mat, which was canceled due to overheating problems.
High-end Bluetooth headphone
Kuo didn't specify what kind of Bluetooth headphone Apple is working on, but only said the company plans to release one. Nothing is known about an AirPods or AirPods Pro successor, but if recent reports are accurate, a new Powerbeats model is coming soon.
