Apple Launches New Pricey Accessory Meant To Keep iPhone 12 Models Safe

Apple is now accepting orders for the new iPhone 12/12 Pro Leather Sleeve with MagSafe, a pricey new accessory designed to protect the new handsets.

The Leather Sleeve is now available for the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro, according to Apple’s Online Store. It’s pretty expensive at $129, but it does have a few features that will hopefully make up for the steep price.

First, Apple said the sleeve is made from high-quality, supple European leather that’s specially tanned and finished. The leather material feels “soft to the touch” and should be expected to develop a lovely patina over time. Those who like leather’s natural look will like how the new sleeve looks and feels.

Second, each iPhone 12 Leather Sleeve with MagSafe has been specially designed so that it fits around the iPhone 12 series devices’ curves. This means the smartphone will stay safe and secure inside the sleeve, without the risk of accidentally falling off.

The case has been designed to protect the pricey handsets from scratches and drops. Best of all, it does that without adding much bulk.

Third, the case features MagSafe, which means it can be used with a MagSafe charger to juice up an iPhone 12 device when needed.

It can be used the same way as the iPhone 12 Silicon case with MagSafe: plug the power brick into a power outlet, then connect the MagSafe charger to the right spot on the Leather sleeve. The use of a MagSafe charger will leave a slight imprint on the case over time.

Fourth, the case has some other fancy features. It has an opening in front that lets users see the time and other notifications displayed on the iPhone’s screen. It has a small bump at the back for the iPhone 12’s rear camera module. And it has a small pocket for an ID or credit card so that users won’t have to worry about attaching a MagSafe Wallet to it.
