Apple, major labels will push new digital albums: report
Apple is working with four major music labels to boost album sales online, according to the Financial Times.
The new interactive booklet will feature sleeve notes and other interactive features with music downloads, according to the report released on Monday.
Separately Apple wants to offer a tablet-sized computer this year in time for the Christmas shopping season.
The new content may be included along with the new device, according to the report.
The project is codenamed “Cocktail” and includes Apple, EMI, Sony Music, Warner Music and Universal Music Group, FT reported. That project aims to launch in September.
