Apple Watch Series 5 Features: 'Hearing Aid' Function Will Be Available?
Among Apple’s roster of popular gadgets, the Apple Watch remains to be one of the most anticipated.
The Apple Watch Series 4, for example, is considered to be the Cupertino giant’s most popular model to date, thanks to an array of health functions that prove very useful to owners. The Apple Watch is so popular that it gathered more than 50 percent of total sales of wearable gadgets last year.
With the upcoming Apple Watch Series 5, it seems that Apple still has room to go up in terms of sales. This is because some of the speculated new functions of the Apple smartwatch are nothing short of exciting. This series will be continuing the tech giant’s direction of focusing more on health.
ECG and heart monitoring continue to headline the smartwatch’s list of health functions, but if the rumors were true, owners will be getting so much more. Sleep tracking is said to be one of the most anticipated features of the new smartwatch although this could be available even for older models once the watchOS 6 releases.
Other health functions include scent detection which could identify poisonous gases or even body odor, so it can be easily addressed. Blood pressure monitoring could also be another feature although this might require specialized wristbands to get accurate data. Women, on the other hand, could benefit from a menstrual cycle tracker and can use the smartwatch to remind of the exact time to take important medicine like fertility pills.
Now another rumored health feature of the next smartwatch is hearing aid assistance. According to Tech Radar, users will be able to connect their hearing aids to the Apple Watch Series 5. There’s hardly any information on how this function could work, but perhaps the watchOS device could be used to determine if one’s hearing is functioning properly in specific circumstances.
Apart from the health functions, the next smartwatch might have its own App Store, which would truly make it an independent gadget that no longer needs much assistance from an iPhone. If true, then even users of Android phones can now avail the option of getting an excellent health-centered smartwatch without worrying too much on operating requirements.
