‘Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars’ Kickstarter: New Character, Gameplay Modes & Mechanics Announced

Examu Inc. has launched a Kickstarter campaign for “Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars” for the PC platform. Find out who is the new character and get to know the different gameplay modes and gaming mechanics below.

Japanese video game company Examu Inc. has decided to ask for support from the “Arcana Heart” community and the fans of the game series in order for it to bring the latest installment in the franchise to the PC platform. To get fans excited over the prospect of the latest installment coming to Steam, the developer announced that enough funding could lead to the development of more new characters and the inclusion of stories that would bring together the tales of the other titles, uniting the entire franchise.

New Character

Ahead of the promised development of new characters, Examu has already introduced a new player in the game upon the launch of its Kickstarter campaign. Minori Amanohara has only appeared in the Japanese arcade version of “Six Stars,” but the company has decided to change that and bring this special Valkyrie to the upcoming PC game. Minori is said to be a Hybride, a Valkyrie that can dually wield the powers of the Arcana and the Geist.

The story behind Minori’s character is that she’s one of the products of the Drexler Institute’s project involving Valkyries and Arcanas. She only managed to escape from the Institute with the help of Petra. She has the ability to help others and defeat evil without getting noticed, which explains why her motto is “Doing good deeds in secrecy.” Minori is known to fight for world peace despite not having the ability to help Heart and the other Angels.

Alongside Minori, the Arcana of Blood, called Ichor, was also introduced through the Kickstarter. The developers made this Arcana the symbol of the essence of life, and it is known to enhance the potentials of other characters to the maximum.

Gameplay Modes

There are various gaming modes to choose from when playing “Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars,” as indicated in the official website for the game. Check each of them out below.

• Story - In this mode, the player will have to fight as a character and follow the story of that same character.
• After Story - This also has a story and is set shortly after the events of the Story Mode. Has more illustrations than Story Mode as well.
• Survival Score Attack - Players in this mode will be tasked to fight all characters in the roster with the goal of obtaining the highest score. The matches are connected, so the player’s health will be carried over to the next match.
• Trial - There are specific objectives to accomplish here, and vitality is restored based on the outcome of each match.
• Time Attack - Just like what its name suggests, this mode requires players to fight the entire roster of characters as fast as possible. Vitality is also restored based on the player’s performance during the matches.
• Versus - This is an offline mode that enables players to fight matches.
• Training Mode - This mode allows players to practice their characters’ combos.
• Replay Theater - Players can manage and view the replays of their matches in this mode.

Gaming Mechanics

The Japanese developer has also announced the gaming mechanics of the game. There’s the unique Arcana Selection that every “Arcana Heart” game features. Through this, players can come up with different abilities. All they need to do is create their own combination using the 24 characters and the 24 Arcana. Examu says players can come up with 576 combinations in this new game.

Examu has also mentioned the Homing System that allows players to engage in outstanding mid-air battles. Of course, fans shouldn’t forget about the Special Moves they can use during matches. The developer stated that the fight system has been tweaked and refined so that players can really enjoy every battle they engage in.

The Kickstarter for “Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars” was launched last Wednesday, but it has now completely surpassed its initial goal of $100,000. So Examu says fans should watch out for the next stretch goal that will be announced within this week. The game is set for release in late 2018.
